About us
St Alexander Nevsky Russian school is a Saturday community school for Russian speaking children. The school was established in 1971 and to this day remains one of the oldest and largest in NSW with about 190 students and 23 teachers. The school’s mission is to preserve and support Russian culture and tradition in children through a variety of disciplines such as language, scripture, history, music etc.
Over the years many of our students have won international competitions, which have included the opportunities to take part in special cultural and educational programs over in Russia!
From 2020 we are located in Concord, a suburb in the inner west of Sydney. The school conducts classes on the grounds of Concord High School at 3 Stanley St Concord. The school has plenty of parking spaces. There is a bus stop nearby, buses 410, 464, 466 run from Burwood Station to Concord High School every 5-10 minutes. Lessons are held on Saturdays commencing at 9am, scheduled according to the New South Wales school terms.
The school is run by the Parents Committee chaired by the P&C President (Principal). The committee is responsible for administrative and financial matters, organisation of festivities and other school events.
For enrolment enquiries, please either email us A.Nevsky.SydneySchool@gmail.com or phone Milla Krivozhnya (P&C President) on 0405 551 342.
